It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan. On 26th July 2021, Sajid Ali got appreciation by finding the missing dead body of his father on K2 after five months. Sajid Ali praised SCO for providing 4G data connectivity at world’s second largest peak K2 and further added that when he found the dead body of his father, he called his mother from there and sought her permission for burial.
