What is it For?

“Durust Daam” app is going to be useful in controlling shopkeepers ‘ income. Islambad’s people will be able to know updated prices of essential commodities such as poultry, meat, fruits and other products through the “Durust Daam” app. This app will also allow citizens to lodge complaints against shopkeepers who violate the prices listed.  The Federal Minister for IT, speaking on the occasion, said that the “Durust Daam” App will be useful in terms of transparency and good governance. He said steps like this need to be taken nationwide. NITB was praised by the Federal Minister of IT for creating this useful yet productive App.  

This App will help in controlling over priced commodities

The chief commissioner of Islamabad said the app could help counter illegal profiteering by shopkeepers in Islamabad territory and citizens can easily lodge complaints about overloading from their mobile phones.  NITB is an attached IT & Telecom Ministry department formed following the merger of the former Pakistan Computer Bureau (PCB) and the Directorate of Electronic Government (EGD). In order to identify key areas for automation and e-government projects, NITB offers strategic advice and consulting services to public sector organizations.
